The Firm’s experience in Intellectual Property Rights comprises of both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to the law of trademarks, copyrights, patents and designs. The Firm has been involved in non-contentious matters such as registration, search and reporting on conflicting marks, IPR audits, maintenance and management of IPR, advising on trade secrets and confidentiality agreements. The Firm has also been involved in domestic and cross border acquisitions / transfer of IPR, software development, transfer of business that includes IPR, contracts in respect of media and entertainment industries (including artists & cable TV), distribution and franchise arrangements and issues relating to restrictive and unfair trade practices. The Firm’s experience in contentious matters include but not limited to representation before the Regulators, Tribunals, Courts in India for Protecting and Enforcing IPR and Domain Names, Infringements and Passing off Actions, Arbitration, Conciliation and any other form of Alternate Dispute Resolution.
